DAY 1 - New Patient Exam - 60 Min.

Prior to your first visit, you will be given instructions on how to register your electronic health record, so that you may complete your forms and health history prior to your appointment. At your first visit, we give you an office tour and take posture pictures. Dr. Lewis performs a comprehensive exam, including musculoskeletal assessments. You may be sent for x-rays if Dr. Lewis decides they are necessary for treatment. The majority of our patients do not have to be x-rayed and most receive their first treatment at the end of the first visit.

Day 2 - Report of Findings - 30 Min.

At your second visit, Dr. Lewis explains the results of your exam and discusses treatment recommendations. Dr. Lewis works with the patient to design a treatment plan that is both beneficial and practical. Every patient receives a personalized self-directed exercise prescription to complete at home. If you decide to continue your care, you will be treated. At the end of the visit, patients are signed up to attend New Patient Orientation, a class to help you maximize the benefits of your care.

Day 3 and Subsequent Visits - 15 Min.

Your third visit and each subsequent visit consists of your adjustment and any other therapies that are included in your treatment plan. You have an opportunity at every visit to discuss any new health concerns, get referrals, or just talk one-on-one with Dr. Lewis. We are patient-centered, so your visits will take as long or be as short as you need them to be. The average time to get your treatment is only 10-15 minutes.

Ongoing Health Management: Wellness Care

Once you have completed your treatment plan (usually ranging from 6-20 visits), you will undergo a reevaluation exam and posture pictures will be retaken and compared. After the exam, Dr. Lewis may decide that a new treatment plan is necessary, or that you have completed the acute and corrective phases of care. If a new treatment plan is not necessary, Dr. Lewis will discuss your wellness care. Typically, to maintain the progress that was made, we encourage patients to schedule an adjustment once a month or every other month (depending on your preferences).
